Plenty of these types of lists mucking about the web, these are in my opinion the top 10 video game weapons

10. Mega Buster - Dead Rising

A complete pain to get hold of, but well worth the wait. An infinite spawning weapon straight from Capcom's Megaman franchise. Kills zombies in one hit, takes down bosses in 2 or 3. Cheesy but cool

9. BFG 9000 - Doom Series

The Bioforce Gun (Or Big F*cking Gun if you've seen the film) can rip through crowds of enemies in seconds. Was never much of a Doom fan, but this gun just has to make it to the list

8. Tesla Cannon - Fallout 3: Broken Steel

Available through the 'Broken Steel' DLC, the Tesla Cannon blew me away with it's shear power and plain awesomeness.
It works in the same way as a rocket launcher except firing blasts of electricity. In my opinion? this gun is well worth the extra 800 MS Points (£5ish), the rest of the pack is just extras

7. Hidden Blade - Assassin's Creed

Noone can doubt the ingenuity of this weapon. If it were real it would almost certainly be illegal. That seems to go pretty high in the scale of 'badassery'

6. Spartan Laser - Halo 3

I Like lasers. Especially when they can tear through a jeep from about 200m away. The cause of many a noob's demise in Halo 3 multiplayer

5. Lancer - Gears of War

It's a gun with a chainsaw on it. Does anything else need to be said?

4. Plasmids - Bioshock

Who needs a gun when you can sprout lightning, fire or ice from your hands?

3. Lightsaber - Star Wars Games

This shouldn't need an explanation, It's a goddamn lightsaber. Something most guys would happily trade a kidney for

2. Predator Drone - Modern Warfare 2

If you've ever played Modern Warefare 2 on the highest difficulty there will be no sweeter sound than 'Predator Drone is online' - letting you rain hell from the skies while you sit comfortably behind some cover

1. Gravity Gun - Half Life 2

I generally hate to conform with popular opinion, but in this case I'll make an exception. This gun lets you turn practically ANYTHING into a weapon. Super charged version makes a weapon out of anything not nailed to the ground.
