LSMedia or Liverpool student media at liverpoolstudentmedia.com is a brand new website launched by the University of Liverpool's students to promote and support talented Liverpool student's creative written, visual or radio content.

LSMedia was created in the Summer of 2008 after Liverpool University's print magazine Sphinx failed to complete a full year of circulation. With a lack of advertising revenue preventing a return to print in the following academic year it was decided that an online magazine would be created instead. The project is a joint collaboration between Sphinx, Liverpool University's ICON Radio and the Liverpool Filmmakers society. The mission of LSMedia is to provide one site on which Liverpool student's can showcase their creativity, be it through writing, radio or film.

The site has a range of writers from across the university studying a variety of different subjects, LSMedia not only lets students gain experience in journalism but also many other areas from marketing to P.R. to web design.
