RAG tells students to get LOST!

The RAG society, which has supported numerous charities, has organised another LOST! event on Saturday November 8th in order to raise money for Tanzanian-based Read International.

One hundred students will be sent one hundred miles from the Guild of Students with the aim of making the journey back in as inventive a style as possible without spending any money.

Registration for the event finishes on Friday October 24th.

Rebecca Jones, one of the event’s organisers, said: “We would love for as many people as possible to get involved or simply just come along.”

The students will be raising money through sponsorship of their efforts, with a prize for most money raised and other awards, along with an after-party in the Saro-Wiwa Bar.

The last LOST! event organsised by RAG succeeded in raising £5,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

Read International is an organisation which collects books for use in Tanzanian schools to help children there have a better standard of education.

The organisation, which was started by students on a gap year, is now linked with 22 UK universities including the University of Liverpool, and continues to grow year on year.
