A Statement from Liverpool City Council Leader Warren Bradley
COUNCIL leader Warren Bradley has urged the university not to close the departments and reconsider its plans.

Cllr Bradley said: “At times, publicly-funded organisations should consider the long-term effect of such moves, and not allow conclusions to be solely resource-driven. The diverse courses at all three universities in Liverpool is why many students have chosen to study here. The impact would be devastating to the economy, not only because it would diminish the amount of students from other places coming to Liverpool, but also the opportunity to our home grown students who would have to leave the city to study.”
